My featured hero volunteer in this story is Kelley Dwyer. Kelley is an awesome lawyer who advocates for animal and LGBT rights. During the weekends, she spends entire days at the shelter helping people to find the appropriate dog for their family and leading groups to make sure they walk as many dogs as they can in an organized and safe way. Kelley has a soft spot in her heart for senior animals and is an active volunteer of Classic Canines of Austin and with her husband they have been foster parents of countless senior cats and dogs. Their two resident dogs are seniors that came from Kelley's volunteer work. Connor is a sweet gentle big guy of around 9 years old, and Ralphie is a 11 years old loving puddle mix, who is the latest foster fail of Kelley's family. Connor and Ralphie are a unique pair. They adore each other and Ralphie has been of great support to Connor to overcome his separation anxiety. They are always fashionable and wear clothes according to the season or occasion (bow ties, rain coats, sweaters, halloween costumes, etc) and love to go out to have lunch with mom.
